MCLN is an Irish/British artist. Much of his recent work features a 17th century plague doctor protagonist, who playfully and humourously views the world and existence from beyond a traditional dualistic perspective. Finding light in the darkness, hope within despair, chaos within order and order within chaos are all in a day’s work for this ol’ doc – clothed in a finery inspired by the New York street art scene of the 1980s, which he witnessed first-hand from the safety-net of suburban south-east London.

He and the doc often use words and phrases with multiple meanings, hinting at the uncertainties, darkness and mystery of existence.

He has exhibited at a number of solo and group exhibitions in London and his street art has found itself in Oxford, London, Brighton, Paris, Lille, and further afield in Europe, New York and Los Angeles.
